Huel is currently partnered with a number of 3rd parties to manufacture its range of nutritionally complete powdered meals. Whilst this has supported business growth to date, there are significant improvements to product quality, sustainability and financial control that can be realized by bringing this inhouse. From 2024 the business is looking to own manufacturing of its core powder ranges distributed in the UK, Europe and Asia.
Huel has secured a lease on a greenfield manufacturing site, within the UK’s first net zero logistics park and has committed spend to the majority of equipment needed to operate the site. The focus is now on fitout, delivering a sustainable and operationally efficient site, within an environment that's unmistakably Huel.
The scope of fitout is broad, from siteing and connecting utilities to infrastructure and equipment, mezzanine and food room construction, to office fitout and brand touch points, delivering a seamless Huel experience across the site. Project is due to complete end of June ‘24.
